Nancy SIBO, 24 years Rwandan, is passionate about Youth leadership and social entrepreneurship in finding lasting solutions to problems in communities especially those affecting young girls and women in my country, Rwanda. It is in this regard that she founded the GIRLS EFFECT INITIATIVE LTD that aims at empowering young girls in Rwanda through education and socio-entrepreneurship, and applying and promoting the GIRL EFFECT approach for the sustainable development of Rwanda In meeting the sustainable development goals.

Girls effect Initiative is a grass-root organization that aim at empowering school dropouts young girls through Educational trainings in eradication illiteracy by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life earning opportunities for all (SDGs Goal 4) and entrepreneurship skills with handcrafting and weaving using local available materials likely used drinking straws in taking action to combat climate change and its impact (SDGs Goal 13) for the purpose of promoting sustainable economic growth where the organization members earn money form their products to sustain their subsistence  and creation of decent work.(SDGs Goal 8).  She has BEEN a precious, focused young GIRL. Who always sees possibilities regardless of all the odds. My interest in leadership and entrepreneurship sparked up a passion within and leads to BE A QUEEN’S YOUNG LEADER AWARDEE . An award bestowed on her due to the work she does.  First ever Ms. GEEK RWANDA 2014  an award bestowed on her for her innovative discovery of MOBILE COW, an app that helps farmers get information on how to monitor estrous cycle of their cows. She has over four years of experience working directly with communities focusing on education and youth empowerment. As thfounderer, a youth led association with an initiative to address issues of poverty, health and search for community sustainable solutions via agriculture activities; she frequently travels to the rural communities of Southern and Eastern Rwanda teaching rural farmers some techniques to improve the Agricultural productivity and reduce poverty and malnutrition in rural areas. This has enabled her to identify with and analyze the challenges of youth education and livelihood in the grassroots communities.

She blogs to share experiences, opportunities and agribusiness news to spark up people’s interest in Agriculture and Agribusiness as a way of reducing unemployment rate predominant across Africa. She is also a Global Health Corps Fellow: GLOBAL HEALTH FELLOW CLASS OF 2015-2016; She am a human right expert that undertook Training of Trainers on Human Right Training of Youth Trainers conducted by the Commonwealth Youth Program Regional Center for Africa (CYP-RCA)

In 2017 Africa Youth Awards named her among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans, an initiative instituted to promote African youth movements and achieving and also restoring excellence in the works of young people across Africa.
