AFRICA YOUTH AWARDS stands in solidarity with #EndSARS!
In the past weeks, young Nigerians through various peaceful means have become a beacon of hope for young Africans for their actions to unite and demand their rights and an end to injustice across the continent through the #EndSARS campaign.
These actions, which have attracted global support and attention continues to show the power that every young person on the continent has to contribute to shaping the future of Africa.
In the past days, over 70 young Nigerians have lost their lives through the peaceful #EndSARS campaign, and we would like to encourage you to also join the campaign and lend your voice towards this much needed movement.
We are also urging the government to use peaceful dialogue to resolve every issue & recommendations, and not resort to other means as witnessed in the last few days.
The #EndSARS protest isn’t only about demanding for changes in Nigeria, but change across Africa, and is also proof that young Africans have the power to call for widespread change in governance activities in their countries.
Nigerian youth have demonstrated the power of young Africans. We are all responsible for the future of our country and continent.
We need changes all over Africa.
Our African leaders are greedy and,do not care about their citizens. They used the young people to get power and turned their back on the youthful population.
African youths! Let us rise and put an end to this inhuman acts.
