Africa Youth Awards is where you need to be. Our website features articles and videos that aim to educate, inform, inspire, and enrich our community. We are looking for wordsmiths and editors to help us do this.

How can I contribute to Africa Youth Awards community?

Become an Occasional Contributor

  • Do you have good writing skills?
  • Do you have engaging content that you’d like to share with the world?
  • Want to contribute every now and then without the commitment?

Become an AYA Contributing Editor

  • Expected to commit for at least 6 months
  • You will receive priority publishing on any written article
  • Must be willing to edit at least 2 articles per month
  • You will receive training to develop your writing and editing skills
  • Priority consideration for AYA community opportunities

Become an AYA Contributing Writer

6 – months commitment
  • Your content will receive priority publishing
  • Expected to write at least 2 articles a month
  • Can pitch articles that fit with the theme of the editorial calendar
  • First consideration for AYA community opportunities

3 – months commitment
  • Expected to write at least 2 assigned articles a month
  • All articles must fit with theme of the editorial calendar
  • Must write articles in the following categories – Business & Finance, Innovation & Startups, Lifestyle & Culture, Work & Productivity, leadership, Politics & Advocacy
  • Cannot pitch articles

1 – year commitment
  • Your content will receive priority publishing
  • Expected to write at least 1 articles a month
  • Can pitch special and editorial-themes articles
  • First consideration and access to exclusive AYA community opportunities
  • Periodic writers’ training opportunities
